The 6th Glasgow FRCOphth Prep Course was successfully held at the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology on 4-5th October 2024.
This course was conceived in 2017 by Dr Chadha with the purpose of preparing the senior resident doctors for their final ophthalmology examinations before they proceed to become Consultants. Since then it has developed to become a popular annual fixture in the Tennent Institute educational calendar.
This year he led a team of 10 residents who made the course a huge success. Over 20 Consultants devoted their time to be examiners in the Mock Vivas and OSCEs which mirror the actual exam as closely as possible. This year also saw the addition of 9 hours of small group teaching in the day prior to the Mock Exam. The course reflects Dr Chadha’s continued commitment to training in ophthalmology and his desire to contribute to shaping the eye surgeons of the future.
